Fellow, Max Planck UCL Centre, London

August 15, 2022

Lennart Luettgau is a postdoctoral research fellow in Ray Dolan’s lab at the Max Planck UCL Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing Research in London. Lennart is an experimental psychologist by training and received his PhD in cognitive neuroscience from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany. His PhD work focused on interactions between associative memory, value-based decision-making and higher-order learning biases, leveraging repetition suppression effects and multivariate methods in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).

Lennart is interested in how humans flexibly adapt and reuse prior knowledge in novel, never experienced situations. In his postdoc, he uses sequence learning paradigms, computational modelling, and magnetoencephalography (MEG) to study the cognitive and neural mechanisms supporting this ability.
