Xin Zhang

Xin Zhang is a neurologist from Australia, currently undertaking a fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, UK. She has a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) from the University of Sydney where she double majored in physics and physiology. Her undergraduate interests included astrophysics, optics and neuroscience. She subsequently completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the same university, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Physicians. She has experience working with dementia and epilepsy patients, including EEG interpretation. She was able to maintain her interest in cognition and dementia research during medical training through collaborative projects with Australian and international researchers. She plans to undertake a PhD in functional imaging and computational neuroscience, with a focus on their application in understanding and diagnosing dementia.
