Thad Polk

Thad Polk is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan. His research combines functional imaging of the human brain with computational modelling and behavioural methods to investigate the neural architecture underlying cognition. Some of his major projects have investigated changes in neural representations and GABA as we age, the contributions of nature and nurture to neural organisation, and individual differences in neural organisation. In 2020, he was named the Samuel D. Epstein Collegiate Professor of Psychology in recognition of his work as a researcher, teacher, and administrator.
