Ann-Kathrin Joechner

Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Center for Lifespan Psychology

August 15, 2022

I am a pre-doctoral researcher under the supervision of Dr. Markus Werkle-Bergner at the Center for Lifespan Psychology at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin (2018–present). Since my bachelor’s studies, my research interests broadly center around the role of sleep for memory. Currently, my focus is on investigating the developmental profile of memory-related electrophysiological mechanisms during sleep and their role for the consolidation of episodic memories across childhood development. I am further interested in methods to analyse neural brain rhythms and in investigating the structural backbones defining the characteristics of neural rhythms across different individuals and ages.
